Help TedE and Your Branch Cash In Containers For UCARF
Hello from TedE
Hello, my name is TedE and I ride with my daddy Ken on his motorbike. I am fairly new to riding because I am only 2 years old in people age, a bit more in doggy years. My daddy rode many many kilometres with my older sister Chloe going to lots of Ulysses Rallies, perhaps you met them. They had lots of adventures but sadly little Chloe got very old and she went to doggy heaven to rest and play. I am looking forward to having lots of adventures with daddy Ken as well.
I have had an idea to help daddy Ken raise some money for UCARF and I really need your help!
It’s called – TEDE’S CONTAINERS FOR UCARF
The idea is to get all the Branches to get all their members collecting their empty drink bottles and cans and then taking them to the container recycle place and cash them in for lots of money. Here is the good part, all the money collected is then deposited into the UCARF Bank Account so lots of good research can be carried out in the name of the Ulysses Club Inc.
At the moment container collection is available in Queensland, WA, NSW and the ACT. South Australia has an old system and is a bit more difficult. Hopefully Victoria and Tasmania will sign up soon to the recycle scheme.
SO HOW WILL IT WORK
It is very simple:-
Your Ulysses Branch will contact me (actually Ken because I’m a dog) and ask to sign up. Ken will send back a special branch email address (branchname@ucarf.com) and a special code number and bar code(something like C10988776). Don’t worry, the email account settings will be sent so you can configure the email set up as well.
Those members of the branch who want to be involved will be given the code number and just need to give or scan it each time they go and deliver their containers for recycling. The money received will be automatically deposited into the UCARF bank account. An email of the amount will be received by the branch as well as Ken, who will tally the amounts for each branch and record it the latest edition of Riding On. How Simple Is That!
So how can you Help!
I just need you to get all your friends and riding companions to get your Branch to sign up and get involved.
And don’t forget, individual members can sign up and get an email and code number and start cashing in containers for UCARF.
Thanks
TedE the UCARF dog.
HELP KEN AND TEDE AT LISMORE
At the Lismore Rally and AGM we will have TedE’s Containers for UCARF operating. We will have lots of special marked bins to take all your empty cans, stubbies and water bottles. Knowing you Ulysses, there should be lots!
Each day they will go off to the Shire Collection Depot and hopefully by the end of Rally Week, UCARF will be a lot richer because of all you wonderful Ulysses members.
What a great Club
